The Union County Partnership For Progress Provides Economic And Community Development Services

The Union County Partnership for Progress promotes economic and community development in Union County, NC, and its cities and towns. Operating under contract with Union County government, the Partnership is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation headquartered in Monroe, NC. A
number of leading business and community leaders serve on its Board of Directors, and many are also Investors in the Partnership. Maurice Ewing, CEcD, is President and CEO.

The Mission of The Union County Partnership for Progress is to responsibly target and recruit new business and support existing
business so that:

• Employment opportunities for the people of Union County are expanded and diversified
• The tax base of the County is strengthened and expanded
• A positive business environment is assured
• Existing business is supported, encouraged and nurtured
• Local infrastructure is maintained and expanded
• The resources of Union County are made readily available to both new and expanding business
• The activities of the Partnership are clearly communicated to new business, expanding business, the people of Union County and the
surrounding Region.
